It was "March Madness" at Santa Barbara Golf Course on March 2nd. Each foursome was designated a college basketball team and given a “basketball” that had to make it’s way around the course in the fewest shots possible. Each golfer had to hit the ball a minimum of 4 times and if you lost the ball, your team had been eliminated! One team lost their ball on the first hole! The second place team was Stanford University comprised of Susan Rodriguez, Debbie Adams, Jill Ireland and Michelle MacArthur. The winning team was University of North Carolina comprised of MaryLou Ramos, Claudette Crowther and Irelle Beatie. Our Leap Year Birthday Girl, Beth Rinehold was on a roll and won THREE closest to the pin contests on Holes 2,8 and 16. Way to go Beth! The other Closest to the Pin winners were Gail Harling on Hole 10 and Susan Rodriguez on Hole 13. It was a beautiful day in Santa Barbara and the golf was great as well.
